2024 Scholarship Barbecue
Year after year, our scholarship fundraiser has allowed Imperial County Farm Bureau to provide financial assistance in the form of scholarships to encourage local students who are pursuing a college degree in an agriculture-related field. Last year, the Imperial County Farm Bureau was excited to be able to award more than $47,000 in scholarships to 44 local students across the Imperial Valley. These students range from incoming freshmen up to seniors in college enrolled in programs for a variety of degrees including ag business, veterinary science, plant science, and many more. Imperial County Farm Bureau is ensuring the younger generations continue to pursue careers in agriculture. We must continue to encourage and support the younger generations in becoming part of the agriculture industry which is the foundation of Imperial County.
Being able to assist students with furthering their education is a huge investment in the future of our community. We are optimistic that many of these students will return to the Imperial Valley after they complete college and become assets to our local agriculture industry. One of the best ways we can maintain the strength of Imperial Valley agriculture is to invest in our future farmers, ranchers, veterinarians, ag educators, and more.
